Rob N. Had Laminectomy with Dr. Robert Watkins IV
One thing that really impressed me was the treatment I received in the hospital and during my recovery time. In fact, the care was so great that I didn't care if I had to leave the hospital or not. It was like retirement at a hotel, is what the treatment was.

Before I had spine surgery, I was wheelchair-bound. My theory is that if I hadn't had surgery by Dr. Watkins Jr., I probably would not have ever gotten out of the wheelchair again. My spinal nerve compression was severe enough that it rendered me immobile. I was actually scheduled for surgery at another location, but then I learned about Dr. Robert Watkins IV and I met with him. After our conversation, I made the decision right away to cancel the procedure I had planned initially with another surgeon. It worked out for the best because I was able to make an appointment at Marina del Rey immediately. The delay between consultation and surgery was just two weeks. I had a laminectomy performed, meaning that a piece of bone was removed from a vertebra. Pressure from the nerve was relieved, and just like that the pain was gone. Now I'm walking and rehabilitating my muscles.
