We ask that volunteers commit to four hours of volunteer service, once per week for one year. This allows for the best opportunity for volunteers to gain an understanding of our organization and make a positive impact.
We recognize that our volunteers are giving us a precious gift of their time. Our volunteers have our deepest gratitude for their contribution here at our hospital and in our community.
New Volunteer Opportunity - TCAB
TCAB volunteers are placed on the nursing units throughout the hospital. They assist with clerical and administrative tasks, answering phones, call lights, and assisting patients and family members.
Once you build up some rapport with the nursing staff, you can shadow them around the units and into patient rooms. You will learn how the individual units are run and see how all the different departments come together to provide care for patients.
FAQs Our Volunteers Usually Ask Us

Instead, you will have to assist in discharges, interact with patients, round on their rooms, restock supplies, answer calls or help nurses with errands. This way, you will significantly help the unit run smoothly and allow the medical staff to focus more on patient care.
