Al Iafrate Had Back Surgery with Dr.

I wasn’t sure which injury caused me which kind of pain. I just knew that I was in a lot of pain and that it was time to try to take it to a professional. I went to the Marina Spine Center and I had a meeting with Dr. Robert Watkins, who is a spine specialist there. He had helped plenty of other pro athletes, which made me feel better about my choice.

I had a consultation with Dr. Watkins and I found out that I had a damaged sciatic nerve in my back. He told that he would need to perform surgery in order for me to be able to go on with my career and with my life, so it was pretty serious. I had to sit a lot of things out and I didn’t like that, but it is what it is. The operation was a success and I’m grateful to everyone at Marina Hospital for taking such good care of me.
